FAQ: Frequently Asked Questions
1. How Often Do You Update Your Information?
Since most of the companies listed in the guide are established wholesale and surplus suppliers that have been around for a number of years, we don't have to update the guide that often.
However, we realize that even established Enterprises can fall by the wayside, and check all of the company listings about every two months.
Updates, revisions, and any new information are then sent to our customers, despite the time of purchase.
Whether you purchased the guide last week, or last year, you will receive, via e-mail, a web link that will let you download the latest revision.
You will receive these updated changes for as long as the Ultimate Guide exists!
2. Is Your Information Available On CD, Or DVD?
No, unfortunately, “The Ultimate Guide To Products For Resale” is available through digital download only.
You will be able to save the guide to your computer hardrive, and later print it out, put it in a folder, or binder. You can also download it to your desktop for easy reference. We do not have immediate plans to present the guide in either DVD, or CD format.

3. I Don't Understand What Wholesale, Closeout, Overstock, And Surplus Merchandise Is. Can You Define These Types Of Merchandise?
Wholesale - In Commerce, a wholesaler buys goods in large quantities from manufacturers or importers, and then sells smaller quantities to businesses and retailers, who in turn sell to the general public. Pertaining to, or engaged in, trade by the piece or large quantity; selling to businesses, retailers or jobbers rather than to consumers; as, a wholesale merchant; the wholesale price.
Closeouts (also Liquidation) - A sale in which all remaining stock is disposed of, usually at greatly reduced prices. Products must be removed from shelves to make room for newer models; a change in financial circumstances or strategy may result in canceled orders; manufacturers may be downsizing or moving facilities; companies may need to reduce inventories for accounting reasons.
Overstocks (also Overruns) - Overruns are over production from specific cuttings or orders and are generally the result of the order not matching the amount of material needed.
Surplus - Inventory, merchandise, or equipment that can no longer be sold at the regular retail or wholesale price, but still possesses value. Surplus is generally caused by discontinuations, overruns, or closeouts. Most businesses have a need to liquidate 2-5% of their products as surplus.
4. I Have Purchased Wholesale Lists Before, And Found The Quality Of The Information To Be Pretty Bad! What Makes Your Information Any Different?
“The Ultimate Guide To Products For Resale,” is based on legitimate supply sources. The guide took over six months to develop, and contains wholesale and surplus sources from trade organizations that cater to a specific product category.
Most wholesale and surplus contacts listed in the guide, are the same distributors that supply dollar stores, business start-ups, major retail chains, and Ebay Powersellers.
The advantage of purchasing the Ultimate Guide over other supplier information on the market today, is research, research, research!
Rarely, if ever, do purveyors of wholesale supply information perform the “due diligence” that is necessary to provide the customer with quality supplier sources.
Most will just perform a simple Internet search, or recycle a free list of outdated suppliers that has been passed around the Internet.
We have researched dozens of trade organizations, publications, and online directories, to bring you the same suppliers that most large companies, and small businesses currently use to “stock their store!”
5. Couldn't I Find The Same Wholesale And Surplus Sources On My Own?
The answer to that question is a definite yes! However, you have to ask yourself, what is your time worth?
How long do you think it would take you to find over 600 wholesale, surplus, overstock, and closeout dealers in twelve different product categories? Three months? Six months? A year?
If you don't have the time to do the type of investigative work that “The Ultimate Guide To Products For Resale” provides, then it would be to your advantage to purchase our information.
